HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
(PRICE OF A TRAINEESHIP)
Great news!
Usually, an employer will pay the related training costs so there's no direct cost to you as the student to become a Trainee.
There are Australian Government incentives for employers to take on trainees by providing funding & contribution. How much you get paid by employers varies per employer. To find out if you're eligible, you'll need to contact an Apprenticeship Centre or enter your details and we'll guide you through the process.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
College of Health and Fitness students can receive traineeships in business administration, fitness and health industries. Traineeships usually take between 12 months and 3 years and upon successful completion of your studies, you'll receive a nationally recognised qualification.
You'll have full support from our training instructors and you can ask as many questions as you wish. We are available by phone, email or in-person to help you succeed.
TYPES OF TRAINEESHIPS?
(FULL & PART-TIME + SCHOOL-BASED)
Full-time trainees work and train full-time, usually from 36 to 38 hours a week, whereas part-time work and train no less than 15 hours per week, averaged over a four-week cycle. Traineeships vary in length from 12 months to three years and part-time traineeship is generally double that of the full-time term. However, as the training is competency-based, completion is dependent upon when the apprentice or trainees has successfully gained all knowledge, skills and competencies required.
School-based trainees undertake a traineeship as part of their high school studies. A school-based trainee’s employment and/or training arrangements must impact on their school timetable for the program to be considered school-based.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
In most cases, traineeships don't require you to have any prior qualifications and you can apply for a traineeship from the age of 15 through to the age of 64. In fact, you can even apply for a traineeship while you're at school. The College of Health & Fitness can help you prepare to approach an employer about a traineeship. The employer is given financial incentives from the government to train you. It's a win/win.
